IIT Madras Summer Internship 2023: Are you a graduate or undergraduate student seeking a fellowship at one of India’s leading engineering schools? Learn more about the IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme, which is available to students in their third and first years of postgraduate study.
The top engineering school in the nation, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), is accepting applications for its summer fellowship programme from interested individuals. The programme is expected to start on May 22, 2023, and terminate on July 21, 2023. To accommodate the convenience of the participating students, the dates are relatively nebulous. The students get a monthly stipend as part of the fellowship, which is a paid one.

Eligibility Requirements
Students who fall under the following categories are eligible for the programme.
- Third-year B.E., B.Tech, and B.Sc (Engg.)
- Third- and fourth-year students in integrated dual-degree M.E./M.Tech programmes
- ME, M.Tech, M.Sc., M.A., and MBA first-year students
The candidates should ideally have outstanding academic credentials. In their university exams, they should ideally be among the top scorers. It will be an advantage for individuals who have presented research papers at seminars, engaged in projects, earned high marks on national-level maths exams, or won design competitions. The aforementioned factors will serve as the major basis for choosing the fellowship candidates.
Students enrolled in one of the IITs already are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply IIT Madras Summer Internship 2023?
Students may go to the IIT Madras website page for the summer fellowship programme to apply for the IITM programme. However, before submitting an application, individuals must have a genuine letter from the head of their respective institute or university. The programme page mentioned above provides the formats for the bonafide for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Once they have a valid certificate in hand, candidates can register by making a new account. After logging in, users must complete two forms, one of which asks for personal information and the other for academic information. The genuine certificate, academic credentials, and, if appropriate, the PwD category certificate must all be uploaded by the candidates after submitting the aforementioned two forms. Mark sheets for classes 10, 12, and undergraduate studies should all be included in a single PDF file for the academic credentials.
The candidates will submit their applications once all the files have been uploaded and the forms have been completed. They will now have the option to select their preferred department from the provided list.
